Tapping / EFT / Emotional Freedom Techniques
Tapping – also known as EFT (which stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques) – is a form of therapeutic intervention that is excellent for helping with a variety of issues. Anxiety, stress, anger, intrusive and negative thoughts, and even food cravings, are among the many issues it can help with.
It often comes as a great surprise to my clients when we use tapping / EFT during the session, as they realise that all those difficult and uncomfortable emotions that they’ve been struggling with just fade away.
How to do Tapping / EFT – Video Tutorial
If you’d like to learn how to do tapping / EFT yourself, here is an excellent tutorial video by Nick Ortner of The Tapping Solution:
What is tapping / EFT?
Tapping / EFT is a therapy that draws on a variety of holistic techniques, including NLP, traditional Chinese medicine, and thought field therapy.
It involves tapping on specific meridian points along the body while focusing, or ‘tuning in’ to whatever negative feeling you wish to dissipate. Positive phrases are often also used to reinforce the process.
