Why seek counselling for rage and anger?
Rage and anger are destructive emotions that can arise out of nowhere, scaring both you and the people around you. Rage can arise so fast, going from 0 – 100, so that before you know it you’re acting completely out of character, putting yourself and your loved ones in danger.
So far you might have been lucky enough to only damage inanimate objects, such as punching a door, or breaking a laptop.
But what if one day, you go that bit too far?
In my line of work, I encounter many people who live in guilt, regret and anxiety about the things they’ve done when that ‘red mist’ rises and they strike out in rage.
Some have ended up divorced. Some have even ended up in prison.
Unfortunately for these people, they kept telling themselves ‘I’ll be alright. I’ll sort this out on my own.’
They didn’t believe that anyone could help them, so they used their own coping mechanisms instead.
Alcohol, drugs, losing themselves in TV or video games, or even deliberately hurting themselves, thinking this could bring some relief. But sadly, it just made things worse.
The good news is – this doesn’t have to be you. If you’re reading this, chances are it’s not too late yet.
Are you brave enough to make the decision to change? If you want to work with me, that’s all I ask – that you’re motivated and willing to do what it takes to gain control of your rage, before it ruins your life.
“The techniques taught, now come naturally, and instantaneously to me when required”
Over the years I’ve worked with many people just like you, who have managed to turn their lives around. It’s not complicated and it doesn’t take a huge amount of time – but it does require consistency, motivation, and determination to change.
If you’re ready to turn your life around, then click the link below to take that first step.
“If you are reading this whilst thinking about whether or not to use Lisa’s services, please just do it. You will not regret the outcome”

“I was very sceptical about using this technique, but after very careful consideration, I decided to give it a try. I can only say that it works”
One of the most common words that comes up in my Google Reviews is ‘sceptical’!
Most people who are suffering from rage and anger are pretty dubious that ‘talking to some woman’ will make a blind bit of difference to how they feel.
But rest assured, this process is far more than ‘just talking’. Together we’ll work through various strategies to help you gain command of your rage and anger so you can go into any situation feeling calm, confident, and in control.
And it’s not just about suppressing or repressing your feelings. It’s about actually releasing them, in safe contained ways, so they can’t harm you any more.
“Lisa is a great listener and she gave me tools and strategies to improve my overall thought process, I would recommend Lisa to anyone who needs support , great value for money”
And if you’re thinking that you’ll have to delve into your past and talk about your childhood for hours, don’t worry – you don’t have to do that (unless you want to, of course).
My methods are practical, down to earth, and strange as it may seem, enjoyable! My clients often leave their sessions with a smile on their face, feeling lighter, relieved, and more relaxed than they’ve felt in years.
“It has been good just to talk and to know I have a place to go now to help release and understand where and how this anger and stress comes from and how to dampen it and extinguish it”
What is the best kind of therapy for rage and anger?
I use an integrative blend of different approaches including Counselling, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Hypnotherapy, NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming), and coaching.
I don’t believe there’s a ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to working with rage and anger, as everybody is unique, with their own reasons for getting enraged or angry, so I tailor the process specifically for your needs.
This is the beauty of having private one-to-one rage and anger management sessions rather than an online course or a group programme, as we can cut to the chase and use the techniques that will work best for you.
What causes rage and anger? Is it really treatable?
Rage and anger can have multiple origins and reasons, but my clients often report experiencing one or more of the following underlying factors:
- A history of physical or emotional abuse in in early life
- Witnessing violence from the parents / primary care-givers / siblings, ‘learning’ that this behaviour is a normal reaction, and going on to repeat it throughout life until it becomes a toxic habit
- Experiencing trauma, either in childhood, or later on as an adult
- Losing a parent during childhood and not getting support in processing grief at the time
- Doing too much for others, feeling taken for granted, and allowing chronic stress to build up
These unresolved feelings can lie under the surface causing rage and anger to grow like a festering wound over the top. But no matter how many years these emotions have been buried, they can be safely released with the right techniques.
“Lisa is very professional but also friendly and really concerned that you should achieve your desired results. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to anybody”
