Sometimes it’s hard to find someone you can really talk to. In this busy world, it’s difficult to find somebody who can spare the time to simply listen and really pay attention to you. The people close to you may be just too close to the issues you want to talk about – they may be too involved, and eager to give out advice based on how they feel about it.
But the important thing is how you feel about it – isn’t it?
When a space is created in which you can really relax and express your innermost thoughts without fear of judgement or criticism – then you can really begin to make sense of what’s going on in your world.
I am here to create that space for you. As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I offer you an environment in which you can let go, and really ‘be yourself’. From this perspective you can begin to find solutions to the issues that are troubling you, from your own place of power and authority.
I adapt my approach to suit each individual’s needs, whether that is simply a gentle listening ear, or a more solution-focused style. If you wish I can include a practical coaching element – for instance clients who come for weight-management sometimes ask for coaching on how to eat more healthily, or hypnotherapy to help with food cravings.
Sessions can be held face-to-face (Glasgow area) or via Skype / telephone.
Single session / pay as you go: £45 (1 hour session)
4 week course: £171 (5% discount)
10 week course: £405 (10% discount)
Counselling for weight loss – how can counselling help me lose weight?
Talking about your issues to a qualified counsellor can be enormously helpful in helping you to identify the key reasons behind any lifestyle choices that are not serving you well. In a supportive, non-judgemental setting you can be completely honest about why you often find yourself eating the wrong kinds of foods and neglecting important things like regular exercise.
Once you have brought to light any unconscious triggers and emotions that cause you to seek unhealthful behaviours, then you are in a much better place to deal with them. As a therapist, I can then assist you by using hypnotherapy and other habit-breaking techniques, in order to help you establish and maintain healthy lifestyle choices.
I also offer counselling for many other issues, including confidence / self esteem, bereavement, anger, relationship difficulties, stress etc.
I am fully qualified and registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy)
